I want to live in Katie’s wardrobe

In fact after discovering http://www.whatkatiewore.com this blog I should imagine she has a room – her outfits have such style and imagination and also she pulls of her looks with great panache.

Everyday her boyfriend kindly takes a picture of her outfit and mentions where she bought each little gem. In most of the mentions he has actually bought a key item.
Katie loves colour and patterns and isn’t afraid to mix and clash which is great – no way can you say Katie travels down the safe side of the fashion road and she is a perfect clothes horse .....

Tomorrow I’m actually seeing Katie in the flesh at the Power of the Blog at the Prince of Wales Pub in Kentish Town organised by the London Fashion Network.

As you can imagine when you’re going to be sat listening to Katie and her partner Joe chat about her wardrobe and blog it’s sent me into an outfit frenzy – talk about raise the stakes fashionista level I’m going to have to pull out all the tricks.
The picture I’ve picked is one of my favourites being an accessory girl and that scarf by All By N is amazing – pure fashion.

I feel your pain Louise Bawn....... I really do.

While reading the Daily Telegraph on line I saw a story which will strike terror in to any woman’s heart and you can all feel her pain.
Imagine seeing a perfect pair of leopard print Christian Louboutin’s and you lust and lust and you show your beloved husband and being beloved he buys them for Christmas........

First how lucky are you that your husband buys them and understands your basic lust but also second how lucky they were left as they are such a must have and especially in leopard print.

You’re on a night out and you change from the fabulous shoes into more sensible flats and stow the Louboutins safely so you think in your handbag ......... then imagine the horror when you arrive at your destination and you have lost one.
Louise being a Louboutin wearer is made of steely stuff so after drying her tears has put posters up round Bristol and been a Miss Marple retracing her taxi route and even places a note on Gum Tree.

Louise my heart goes out to you ........I hope the other shoe turns up.

Drool ....... yes I have a small addiction to ankle boots......

Statement necklace – check, fashion do organised - check, credit card out – check … time to purchase some shoes and rock that look. Trolling the web I have came across KG’s Hope, the outrageously sexy high healed peep toe sandal with the look of a boot …best of both worlds …. and with eye catching embellishment.

If that wasn’t contemporary enough for the shoe addict, the super moc croc platform, as seen on all the fashionistas this season, is sure to seal the deal and boy do I ‘Hope’ the next thing I hear is enter your pin number please.

Does this make a fashionista a geek if she loves bones and dinosaurs?

Maybe she will be redeemed for her love of funky accessories. Mix them both together and what do you get … a fashionista drooling. How amazing is this necklace by Tatty Devine! Being a mega fan of the duo’s quirky work I think a quick trip to the Brick lane shop is in order, worth my hair going curly in the rain for! The only flaw in my master plan is I will need to take my credit card as I know I will come away with a bag full of Devine goodies. If I wait until Friday afternoon I can combine it with an edgy hair do by hairdresser to the stars Charlie Le Mind, currently resident Friday afternoons.

About Me

My photo
London, London, United Kingdom
Socialising and keeping in touch with friends is really important to me as I love to laugh and chat; some would say too much! When I have the time, I love to just sit with a coffee and people watch – which luckily hasn’t got me into trouble so far!!. It gives a great insight into fashion tribes and little emerging fashion gems. Like nothing more than sticking my iPod on (which has now went missing after a tube ride from hell – excuse to buy a new one) finding a deserted part of the beach, preferably somewhere like Langkawi in Malaysia as appose to Ayr beach! and dance my little toosh off! Don’t know if it is an age thing but I seem to be attracted more and more to metallics! Anything shiny for this magpie. Love my scrap book diaries, not many words just old memories – I even have an after school club card dated back to 1983. Just give me glue, pencil, rubber and paint and I am in my element Mission in life is to be invited to the Venice masquerade ball before I’m 30 – blown that so now before I am 40! Which could explain my unhealthy obsession with feathers and masks! Love the 20’s and art deco
